COMMON FAMILY QUESTIONS

Answers Before You Call

Plain-language answers to help you understand service fit, referrals, coverage, and what happens after you reach out.

Do you serve my city or ZIP code?

VIGEO is based in Falls Church. Availability across Northern Virginia varies by service and ZIP code, so call or submit the form and our team will confirm whether your address is in range.

What is the difference between Home Health and Companion Care?

Home Health is skilled care at home that requires a provider order and eligibility review. Companion Care is generally non-medical support for companionship, errands, meals, light household help, and daily routines.

Do I need a referral?

Medicare Home Health requires an order from a doctor or other allowed provider. Physical Therapy referral and coverage rules vary by plan. Companion Care normally does not require a clinical referral.

Does Medicare cover this?

Medicare may cover eligible Home Health services when requirements are met. Medicare does not cover 24-hour home care, meal delivery, unrelated homemaker services, or personal care when that is the only need. Physical Therapy coverage depends on the plan, and Companion Care is generally private pay.

Is Companion Care private pay?

Companion Care is generally private pay. Current rates, scheduling rules, and any fees are reviewed before care begins.

What happens after I submit the form?

A VIGEO team member reviews your request, confirms the service, service area, coverage questions, and whether a referral is required, then explains the next step during business hours.

Can VIGEO coordinate more than one service?

Yes. When appropriate, VIGEO can help coordinate across Home Health, Physical Therapy, and Companion Care. Eligibility, coverage, and care-plan rules still apply.
